  • Reggae Artistes Salute Lucky Dube
ROSEAU, Dominica - - Artistes, musicians and entertainers in Dominica said the death Lucky Dube is a blow to the international music industry as they paid tribute to the reggae star who was killed in South Africa on Thursday.

Renowned Dominican reggae artiste Nasio Fontaine, who toured with Lucky Dube on several occasions, said the reggae icon was a representation of truth all over the world.

"Lucky Dude played his part in the circle of life; by crying out for equal rights and justice and even talking about issues that affect us right here in Dominica," Fontaine said in a radio tribute.

"Us paying tribute to Lucky Dube right now is present and good and we should not celebrate him dead; we should celebrate him alive."
